Why is everyone so into gangsta? by Six Four i think it has to do alot with the media these days, you turn on the tv and music is reaching such a broad audience these days that the whole gangsta image is used as a marketing scheme and is seen as the in thing, why else would kids living in middle america in a great community with out violence be copying all this shit. cause like it or not people mimic what they think is cool, and the media has a the main influence on whats in and out, and this whole bling bling, imma thug shit is in right now. this is how i know and think its the media, cause when i was running around banging rap music wasnt the in thing in the crowd that i ran with it was dance and techno (i ran with asians) and none of us dressed like the way the younger genertion does, for us it was tryin to be GQ and nice clothes now the youngins in the asian gangs in my city all mimic the black gangster style. its all this bullshit thats being pumped into kids ears these days. but the funny thing is there was alot more violence going on with the generation than i came up with then the one now, i mean shit my friends were getting shot and stabbed all the time....point being said alot just mimic that shit but they really dont know what the gangster shit is they're just wannabes. |
