The future for us
I been sitting here thinkin all mornin since I came to the site this mornin bout what the future holds for our generation. After a heated discussion in one of my classes I came to realize that as much as we are fucking up, we are the answers to today's questions, we are the ones who are building a future for not only ourselves, but our children and there children. We might be making mistakes, but there are a lot of us who are extremely intelligent wether we learned that from school books, TV, movies, or the streets. We know what we are talking about. I for one would like to know what some of you are planning for the future. What are your goals? What are the things you would like to accomplish in life before we are done and over with? Most of you know that I want to become a Juvenile Corrections Officer and follow in the footsteps of our homegirl Lista who made something great out of herself. I want to work with teenagers before they make the same mistakes I've made with my life.

Although, lately I've been considering changing that to some how opening a rec. center for inner city youth. A place teens who are involved in this lifestyle can go to watch movies, play games, shoot hoops, chill, just relax, a place where the color of your hood, or your skin even don't matter at all. A place where people can juss go to get away from it all. That's been a big part of my thoughts lately and something that I refuse to give up on and something that means the world to me. Who knows maybe some day I will do both. Anyway I just wanted to start a discussion about the things we all want to do because in the end it's ultimately up to us what we become and how we go about it. I would also like to somehow set up a place where people in our positions, Ex gang members, or just the vetrans kick it with the younger teens as like a mentor program...lemme know wha yall think!!!
