Tha “Sinner”—Episode III God hates sin. He hates disobedience. He hatez it when katz completely disregard Him, az if He don’t exist or be “relevant.” In fact, when katz behave az if God be a cosmic “whatever” dat prolly hurtz Him worse than outright rebellin’. So, I think we all know dat God don’t feel SIN. Yo, but how do God feel ‘bout tha katz doin’ tha SIN-in’. Katz who bust wack right an’ left. Az we saw in Episode II we ALL bust wack one way or anotha, nearly all da time. Erryone of us be imperfect an’ miss tha mark. If , in our own way, we be all playaz—playin’ peeps made in God’z image, not to mention God Hisself, like spadez, do dat make God--tha Ultimate Playa Hatah? While God be hatin’ our sinful attitudes an actions, do He hate…us? Let’s peep Lukey’z Gospel, Chapter 7, versez 37-38, an’ see whatz up wit dat. Check it: “When a woman who had lived a sinful life…learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.” Yo, we already know dis lady wuz no good. An’ erryone in her hood did too.. While many of us be real smoov at hidin’ tha bug stuff we do, this lady’z dirty laundry wuz ill hung out fo all to peep. But, despite who she wuz, this lady made contact with…God. She not only came to where God wuz, she str8 chilled wit Him! “Unbelievably” God even let this “sinner …touch… Him. The madd unholy reached out an’ encountered and engaged wit The Infinite HOLY—the same HOLY, that to sin, be a consuming fire. How can this be? How iz this even POSSIBLE?? Mang! Are U feelin’ what Happened here? What it means for…other…sinnerz…? Letz check mo’ closely… Yo, tha Scrip drops dat this lady came, and stood behind Jesus--at His feet--weeping. This signifies a few thangz. 1.Dis lady KNEW, she recognized dat she wuz indeed a sinner. An’ she madd hurt over it cuz tha Scrip spitz dat she wuz tearin’. She prolly felt madd guilt, shame, an’ so low dat she went BEHIND Jesus an’ ill dropped to His feet. Dis woman’s behavior an’ her body language indicate dat she wuz consumed with abject humiliation over what she did an’ what she wuz. 2.Notorious sinner though she wuz—she felt she could COME TO Jesus. She knew dat Jesus wouldn’t madd scorned or diss her like the Phariseez would. Yo, it hard to say if she knew ‘zacly Who she wuz rotatin’ wit, but she knew He wuz str8 reppin’ God. An’ prolly she heard, an’ mebbe saw 4 herself, dat Jesus ACCEPTED an’LOVED sinners—who are broken’ an’ broken hearted over they sin an’ they sinfulness. This desperate, madd heroic lady, personifies Real Humility. No doubt, she sensed, in tha very depths of her sorrowful, throbbin’ soul, what Jesus spit in anotha Scrip in John 6:37: “…whoever comes to Me I will never drive away.” Whoever. Yo, I’m out.
