Holy Lights
I am sent not to Excite You, but to Ignite You… Back in 2000 I was visiting a church in Atlanta with my kinfolks, and as I entered I was giving thanksgiving and praises to the Father. As I sat there praying with my head down, the whole church was singing a song that said, Lord shine Your Light on me. Suddenly the Spirit of the Lord spoke and said, “That’s the Problem” . I lifted my head up to see what was it that God was saying, as I looked around the church. And as the church kept singing the Lord spoke again and said, “That’s the Problem, Their asking Me to shine Light on them, when they should be Lights”. He took me to the place in the Bible where it speaks to hiding your light under a bush. And He went on to explain to me, how many are gathering in buildings where it’s so lit up, and that's how a church can be that bush, where the lights are hidden and not being shown in dark places. Matt: 5-14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. The Spirit Of the Lord once spoke to me and asked, "IF YOU WERE TO TAKE A FLASH LIGHT OUT AT NOON, WOULD YOU SEE THE LIGHT FROM THE FLASH LIGHT? I answered no. Then the Spirit of the Lord spoke and told me, "IF YOU WERE TO TAKE THE FLASH LIGHT OUT AT NIGHT THEN YOU CAN SEE THE LIGHT". My folks, we are the flash light, and sometimes we're shining and don't know it, until we're placed in the darkest times or places. Back in the early 80's, George Clinton & Parliament stated that "Everybody got a little light under the Son"… under the Son… under the Son…"Flash Light" Phil 5-15: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; If you’ve ever been to a Prince concert or maybe some other band, they would at one point sang a heart felt song. And at the moment that the crowd hears the first note, everybody would pull out their lighters and hold it up in the air, practically when Prince sings, “The Cross”. As you look across the whole arena it is a beautiful site to see, as you feel the mood change. But one thing I noticed, that although just about everybody in the place is holding up a lighter, the house is still dark. You would thank that with thousands of people holding a light, that the whole place would be lit, but it’s not. The Spirit of the Lord started giving me understanding, and God explained that the reason is that the lights are separate and standing alone. The Spirit of the Lord said, “If you were to take each lighter and gather them in one pile, then the flame would get bigger and bigger, and then you’ll see the whole place illuminated with Light".Don’t seek to be one of those that have broken off that they might be a lone star, but rather join in that which the Spirit of the Lord is forming. Because the one that wants to stand alone, will only reveal their own faces, while this togetherness will reveal the true and living God of all. 1 Corinthians 1-10: Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chlo'e, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apol'los; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gai'us; lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. And I baptized also the household of Steph'anas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. Yes the Creator has formed Light within us, that we might have a personal relationship with the Author of Light, which is God Himself.
