Set up perfectly with every opportunity to become a statistic, even by his own merit, Clister took step towards perdition. However, God’s hand guarded him, God’s voice called him, and the Holy Spirit led him into a life with Christ. The detour that his life took can only be explained by one thing: Grace! Clister was born and raised in San Diego, CA by a single mother along with four other siblings. Life for him growing up was a struggle to say the least. Throughout his teenage years he looked for fulfillment in the world, but only found himself more in trouble and increasingly depressed. Although he grew up in church, Clister never experienced a true relationship with Christ. It wasn’t a until a close friend showed him the love of Jesus that he had the courage to turn away from his old self and put his trust fully in Christ. Since that day, Clister’s life has change drastically. In 2004 he attended Horizon’s School of Evangelism and sought to know the Lord in a more intimate way. After a season of intense discipleship, Clister began ministering to his community and saw the need to bring Christ and his love to the inner city. He wanted to bridge the gap that existed between today’s church and urban youth. Thus in 2006, along with close friend DJ Naz.e, Clister co-founded “That Funktion” ministries, and urban outreach that brings Jesus to the hood’s of San Diego. “That Funktion” Ministries’ purpose is to encourage and exhort the body of Christ while also seeking to evangelize the lost through concerts, outreaches, parties, and Bible studies. Past “That Funktion” artists have included: LeCrae, Flame, Everyday Process, Trip Lee, Washington Project, K-Drama,Monty G, and many more! Even as a child Clister used writing as a means to express his deppest thoughts and feelings, but it wasn’t until he got saved that he realized God gave him his ability to affect lives and glorify Him. In 2008 he began writing for his debut album “DIRECTIONS 2 REAL.” With a mission to meet his listeners where they are in their walks while challenging them to turn from sin and seek Christ, “DIRECTIONS 2 REAL” is passionate and unashamed. With tracks like ”FAITHFUL” that tug at the heartstrings, and “New” that will get you up and praising, “DIRECTIONS 2 REAL” is destined to change lives and break strongholds! Timothy is, and has been focusing hard on music since his first arrest. The music's hold on him is not tight enough to keep him from wanting to make money now. During a studio session, the 21 year old producer is taking a break.
