that man is an honest man who neva lied a day in his life
the booze had got him here
but it was a driver who took his son an wife
he neva even got to tell um he loved them or kiss them goodbye
every night he looks up at the sky
an asks the lord he once believed in
why his body wasn't under the ground instead
takes another shot of whisky dreaming of caressing an pressin his lips to his baby's head
sleeps behind the dumpster
to wither away within his sorrow
curls up in some boxes he had to borrow
promises himself he'll put them back behind the store tomorrow
when he wakes
he hasn't showered for years
his tears hide in the lakes
along with his pride he's tried to start again but cant seem to let go of his conflicting mistakes
his body aches
an this cold is causing unbearable shakes
the world may have given up on him but still the guardian neva breaks
one night he was walking
not far behind a lady backpacker
when all of a sudden
he saw two men come out an attack her
one grabbed her the other smacked her an knocked unconsensus
he wasn't gonna stand for that nonsense
so with anger flaring
he went blaring at them not even carein
one had a weapon
he was ready for wrecking
with one step in
his fists started throwin rage
right hooks an uppercuts he kept on goin
showin that no one keeps a youngster from growing
especially not two robbers
a lady across the street saw the violence
an called the coppers
those fake **** crime stoppers
pulled up as he was beating the muggers
yelling began
police started freakin
backpacker awoke from sleepin
shreekin not know what she was speaking
pointing at him as if he was the one who had hit her
pigs handcuffed um
an threw him in the backseat like a piece of litter
but he wasnt bitter
because then he knew that society
was the one that was a quiter
