On this day we praise/
poverty givers,gold diggers and western ways/
the ground that lays bricks break philosophical tendencies/
tortured from a new culture influenced by hennessy/
hitting women and abandoning children/
using self addiction as an excuse for killing/
stealing another's heart in hopes to mimic the feeling/
for one night all of this seems right/
wrongs left lingering somewhere out of our sight/
searching for the place that it started/
down the path where jesus supposedly martyred/
peace an protection for all of his kind/
making miracles from eyes that were blind/
but down the line many missed the bigger sign/
posted in the open for anyone to see/
we are all prisoners of thought/
with no way to be free/
