Pray for my son Laughing Boy

    He's 17 hasn't been in the gang long maybe about a year.I'm always in his business as much as I can . I ve even hit up his homeboys and let them know what I was all about and that was that there is no one out there more down for my son than me.I never in my life would have thought I would be in a place like this asking for prayers and advice for my son. Bit I'm here and I'm gonna so what it takes to take him back. I went as far as to his myspace account to let each of his homeboys know who I was and to get to know my face cuz wherever Laughing Boy was you can be dam sure I'll only be a few steps away.and Ive been holdin it down like that for a month now. His grades have improved and he don't hang as much as he use to so I know change is coming .please pray for me as well as I continue my fight against gangs for my son back! Thank you.

    Shyt..at 17 years old my momma would have beat my little azz if she had found out I was gang banging back then...

    I was gonna shame you lady..because if you know your son is in a street gang..and you haven't beat his azz royally for it..then what job are doing being a mom??? Letting your kid run around with a street gang?? Its not gonna matter if you introduced yourself or spoke to his homeboys..his homeboys ain't gonna care about his LIFE..and you do, cus your his Mom...sure, you made effort...but I still would think ANY good mother would beat the living shyt out of their son if and if he was in a gang...

    So I can honestly say..I see something wrong about this thread...I'll just be honest..you've made & taken actions as a mother..but you haven't enforced yourself like you should with your son, if hes still on the streets gangbanging lady...

    like i said..my own mother would've beat my fawkin' azz black, blue & red..and not given a f* that I was 17...

    N, maybe she has and it didn't matter. Maybe giving him a "whoopin" just further alienates him. There could be a great many factors. So, don't come down on Mom too hard, here. You always had a way of going off half-cocked, without know all the facts. ;)

    Hi guys can't believe it's only been 1 month since I posted that. Well here's an update.his grades are still up he changed schools so he could concentrate better.other kids wanted to fight him to see how down he was and see if his mma skills lasted against street fighting.it went as far as someone he thought was a friend set him up and a 23 ur old guy faught him. He won the fight but didn't get suspended because it was all on the schools cameras what made me mad was how the **** he get on campus! He's geared a little more towards his career but no luck with the gang part.as far as his homies go I've befriended a few even had them over for dinner it's almost a ritual every satuday they know is taco night so they come over.:) They know my story and what I'm about and they respect that as I do them. My son and I also got to sit down and talk about everything going on in his life and in mine concerning gangs, I was proud at the fact that he trusted me that much with the way he feels about things.so were a bit closer thank god for that and this site that gave me some resources to go by.thanks and I will continue to keep u updated. Thanks again for doing what u do!
